The primary focus for designing Laura and Mark’s home was to establish who they are as a family within the space. Having lived in their home for the past fifteen years, they wanted to finally create a house that represented who they were, stylistically and holistically.
We updated their living room, kitchen, and dining areas to help the space flow more effortlessly and feel elevated. We incorporated a clean and neutral palette throughout, with bright whites and dark accents. The contrast helped the space feel sophisticated yet welcoming. Laura dreamed of having a kitchen for hosting so we opened it up and incorporated light colors for a fresh feel, including the white cabinetry she’d always wanted.
Their living area was by far my favorite. The sunlight that peeks through at midday is gorgeous, so we incorporated contrasting furniture accents into the bright space for depth. It’s a multi-functional room that will effortlessly complement their love for hosting and be a space to enjoy as a family.
